The Children's Expedition Luncheon is MountainStar's annual "State of Giving" event for donors, volunteers and guests. During this one-hour event, Executive Director Tim Rusk and notable speakers will share the success of MountainStar over the past year, as well as a roadmap for the future.
This year's Children's Expedition Luncheon will held on October 11th at the Riverhouse. This is an invitation-only event open to the public. If you would like to attend, please contact MountainStar at 541-388-0220.

Back in 2005, MountainStar board members Kathy Murch and Joanne Michael, and their golfing buddies decided at the beginning of the golf season to collect their birdie money and donate it to MountainStar Family Relief Nursery. They named their little fundraiser Birdies 4 Babies. Following the tradition that rewards birdies with a dollar or two paid to the player “birdie maker”, this small group of women collected their birdie money during the season and donated more than $500 to MountainStar. |

On September 19, 2007, the first annual Designs for Dining charity luncheon and auction will take place at the Seventh Mountain Resort in Bend. Designs for Dining is hosted by the creative and generous women of STAR - Supporting Those at Risk. |

| Currently, 30+ volunteers provide us with 2,500 hours of service annually. These volunteers support staff in the therapeutic classroom, provide child care during our Parent Skills Trainings and organize and staff our fundraising and other events. Our volunteers not only provide the organization with critical support but help our families—many of whom are quite isolated—connect with others in the community. |
